Jasdeep Singh Gill was born on March 15, 1979, in Moga, Punjab, India. His father, Dr. Sukhdev Singh Gill, is a retired Colonel from the Indian Army and has been involved with the Radha Soami Satsang Beas (RSSB) for more than twenty years.
Gill’s educational background is impressive. He earned both his undergraduate and master’s degrees in biochemical engineering and biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He then went on to get another master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and completed his Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of Cambridge in the UK.
Professional Career
Jasdeep Singh Gill has built a successful career in the corporate world. He started working as an Executive Assistant to the CEO at Ranbaxy from 2006 to 2010. In 2010, he moved to Monitor Group as a Consultant, helping clients from different industries with strategy management. From 2013 to 2019, he served as the Senior Principal (Consulting) at IQVIA.
In 2019, Gill became the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief of Staff at Cipla Limited, a role he held until May 31, 2024. While at Cipla, he was also a Board Observer at Ethris and Achira Labs Private Limited and served on the board of Wealthy Therapeutics until March 2024.
Association with Radha Soami Satsang Beas
Jasdeep Singh Gill has been deeply connected with the Radha Soami Satsang Beas for more than 30 years, regularly visiting and doing ‘sewa’ (service) at the Dera. He is also a cousin of Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon, the former head of the organization.
Appointment as Head of RSSB
On September 2, 2024, Jasdeep Singh Gill was chosen as the new leader of Radha Soami Satsang Beas, taking over from Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon. He is now the seventh spiritual head since the group was founded.
